Fandom: Merlin (the 2008 BBC TV series, not that random movie from the 90s)
Pairing: Arthur/Merlin
Spoilers/Warnings (if any): General series spoilers up to 1x07 "The Gates of Avalon", but I opted out of doing those little explanatory notes, so nothing's really mentioned, per se. Actually, if you know what the series is about, you should be good, since all this mix really does is insert its own subtext and speculate about future events like a crazy thing.
Notes: This mix has pretty much been killing me for the past week. At one point it was...40 songs long? I've been trimming and rearranging and redoing the artwork (AND I'M STILL NOT SATISFIED WITH THE DAMN TEXT), and by this point I think I've polished it up as much as possible without driving myself insane. I'm pretty happy with the music selection at this point, even though practically all the male artists I put in there got cut (FREAKING PRONOUNS. I'm POSITIVE that none of these have incorrect pronouns, because of the sheer amount of time it took me to weed out all the ones that did), and it's kind of a big, sappy, love fest. Because that's how I see Arthur/Merlin: an epic love story with ten million obstacles but a satisfyingly cheesy and dramatic happy ending - dramatic violins of emo HAPPINESS AND JOY, and all. Just feel lucky you guys escaped Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up". I was seriously THIS close to putting that on here, but finally decided that would be too sappy and 90s even for me. UM, ANYWAY.
